ENVSonic at Nor-Shipping with NGP: Smart Ultrasonic on the Norwegian Floor

GLOBAtech worked the Nor-Shipping floor in Oslo alongside our strategic distribution partner NGP — part of our active global sales network — bringing the ENVSonic platform directly to the Northern European maritime audience.

For context: NGP is a member of our extended distribution and channel network, joining ELNA / Ferropilot, BTP-Marine, Technava, MPS Global, and others as part of the live sales infrastructure now operating across multiple regions. The Nor-Shipping presence with NGP is an example of how that distribution model works in practice — local presence, local relationships, ENVSonic technical capability, all on the same floor at the same time.

Through our partnership with NGP we can offer our clients a reliable, experienced team for installation, sales and support of our advanced ENVSonic solutions while also opening our clients to the related quality services already offered by NGP

Three observations from the show:

1. Norwegian operators are leading on regulatory readiness. The Northern European fleet — driven by the regulatory leadership of EU ETS, Norway’s national decarbonization commitments, and the visibility of large operators headquartered there — is consistently among the first to adopt operational efficiency technology. Conversations on the floor reflected that. Multiple operators we spoke to had already modeled their CII trajectory through 2030 and were actively scoping the technology stack to hit it.

2. Hull condition is moving up the priority list. Five years ago, hull-condition technology was further down the operational decarbonization list than fuels, propulsion, and routing. In 2025-era Nor-Shipping conversations, hull condition has visibly moved up. Why: it is one of the few decarbonization levers with a recurring, in-service payback that doesn’t require dry-dock or fleet refit. The IMO 2030 numbers are forcing every operator to look harder at the levers that work continuously.

3. The aquaculture conversation is starting to bleed into the main maritime floor. Norway’s salmon farming industry is one of the world’s largest, and several operators we met asked specifically about ENVSonic’s aquaculture pilot work — particularly our active R&D pilot with a leading Icelandic salmon producer on plate heat exchanger protection. The cross-vertical credibility plays well with mainstream Norwegian maritime audiences who increasingly view aquaculture as an adjacent maritime industrial market.

Looking ahead: Our Northern European sales coverage continues to expand through the NGP partnership and our broader distribution network. Operators interested in pilot programs or fleet specification can reach our team directly or via the regional partner.
